Environmental Portraits
My subjects, whether human or wildlife, do not exist in isolation. They are an integral part of the environment and ecosystem in which they live and the images in this collection were taken to tell that story. By taking a step back and allowing my subjects some extra space in the frame they are given context within the world and their character traits and physical adaptations are given meaning. In a world where climate change is altering weather patterns much faster than the rate of physical and behavioural adaptation, images depicting the relationship between animals and environment are crucial.
