A young female leopard with an impala kill that she had made moments before, Malamala Game Reserve, South Africa. This a particularly special leopard; she was an orphaned at a young age, still very much dependant on her mother. It was believed to be a foregone conclusion that she wouldn’t make it but make it she did. Today she is one of the dominant females in what is one of the most highly contested leopard territories in Africa.
